Local charity, Serendipity have brought Tamworth’s main street to life with an explosion of pink knits adorned on Peel St’s famous palm trees.
This is the second year Serendipity have ‘yarn-bombed’ in an effort to promote October as breast cancer awareness month.
President Sandy Brooks was full of praise for the local and international community that contributed to the knitwear.
“We’re very grateful to the people in the community who helped, including some nursing home residents who did some knitting,” Mrs Brooks said.
The Serendipity president said one piece was sent in from a person in Denmark.
Mrs Brooks said people can donate to Serendipity online or at a number of local shops with donation boxes.
Serendipity spends its funds locally and recently raised money for 10 new beds for Inala House.
