The girls played in the opener, downing Hunter Valley 3-nil, before going on to get past Macquarie 1-nil on Saturday afternoon.
The team is tied on the ladder with Newcastle, and the two sides couldn’t be seperated on the field either playing out a 0-0 draw to drawn on seven points.
The U14 girls also got their campaign off to a flyer with a 3-1 defeat over warners Bay early in the day, although they couldn’t quite keep South Wallsend at bay, going down 2-1 in the afternoon.
Over 220 of Northern NSW’s best footballers will battle it out at the Championships.
Northern Inland U12s faced another tough day on Sunday, taking on Far North Coast and Mid North Coast, while the U15s played Hunter Valley and North Coast.
The Championships will wrap up on Monday afternoon with a medal presentation for the winners.
