In the week to 9am Thursday, Tamworth received 18mm, Armidale 23mm, Inverell 47mm and Moree 36mm.
Some of the bigger falls were registered in Glen Innes, which had 67mm in the airport gauge, Pindari Dam with 65mm, Mungindi with 61mm, and Warialda with 52mm.
Wet weather and lack of numbers caused the Inverell and Armidale cattle sales to be cancelled on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.
Chickpea plantings were either succumbing to – or at risk of – disease or waterlogging, although for some growers the extent of damage to their crops wouldn’t be clear until this week and beyond.
Chaffey Dam was sitting at 87 per cent, Keepit at 78 per cent, Split Rock at 26 per cent, Glenlyon at 56 per cent, Pindari at 100 per cent and Copeton at 49 per cent.
