The tournament will form valuable preparation for the Burras for December’s Junior World Cup, and will see them compete against England, Japan, Pakistan, New Zealand and the hosts.
Liles is one of seven NSW athletes in the 20-strong squad and will be joined by Rio 2016 Olympian Blake Govers and fellow senior Kookaburra, Tom Craig.
“As always, it was a difficult task to select this group. Our broader junior program has developed very good depth as a result of the great work done around our network,” National Junior coach Ben Bishop said
“The group we have selected will enjoy another great competition in Johor this year against some quality international teams.”
The tournament will run from October 31-November 6. Prior to that Liles will, along with Matt Willis, play for the Waratahs in the Australian Hockey League.
