K/1/2 had a fantastic time at Dubbo Zoo last Thursday. After an early start student arrived at the zoo mid-morning, ready to explore all the animals and exhibits. There were elephants, tigers, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, tortoises, zebras, lions, rhinos, penguins and many more animals. It was great to see the excitement on students’ faces as they encountered a new animal. Congratulations to all students for their excellent behaviour throughout the excursion. HUGE thanks to Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Barnett for supervising the excursion and to Mr Barnett for driving the bus.

LIFE EDUCATION VAN
On Wednesday 14 September students participated in the Life Education Van when it visited school. The Life Education Van has been empowering children and young people to make safer and healthier choices through education for more than 35 years. The Life Education Van educates students about all different aspects. Years 3/4/5&6 learnt the effects of smoking on your body. K/1/2 learnt how the human body works and how to keep it safe and healthy. Thank you once again to Liverpool Plains Shire Council who subsidise the cost of the Life Education Van and to Mr & Mrs Noel Saunders from Willow Tree Lions Club who transported the van to and from our school.
