TWO men have been refused bail charged in connection to a violent home invasion in Glen Innes.

Keith Byrne appeared in an out-of-sessions bail hearing in Armidale Local Court on Thursday after he was arrested by police in Glen Innes.
He’s charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated break-and-enter and commit serious indictable offence.
Byrne was not required to enter pleas during the bail hearing but was refused release by the court.
He was transported to the Tamworth Correctional Centre where he will remain until the case returns to Armidale court again next week.
Co-accused Hector Anthony James Thompson was arrested on on Wednesday afternoon following investigations by Glen Innes police.
He’s facing charges of break-and-enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and aggravated break out in company.
He made no application for bail during an out-of-sessions hearing in Armidale Local Court and was also remanded into custody to reappear next week.
The charges stem after a week-long investigation into an incident at a house off Church St, Glen Innes, on September 8.
Investigators have been told a 28-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man were asleep inside the house attached to a business when they were woken by an armed intruder about 5.20am.
Police will allege in court the offender was armed with a knife and confronted the male resident before an altercation got out.
The victim was allegedly struck in the face by the intruder.
The offender is then alleged to have ransacked the home and stole cash before he fled the scene.
Police were alerted and set up a crime scene was set up at the house which was combed by forensic officers as part of the police investigation.
The victim suffered only minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, police said.
