Don’t forget to spread the word about our Open Day being held on Wednesday from 9.30am – 2.00pm (no assembly on this day). Can you also please pray for a sunny day? We are expecting Winanga-Li who will be bringing a jumping castle and providing a BBQ lunch, hot potatoes and slushies. Bunnings is coming too and will be doing face painting and running an activity involving creating a painted pot and planting a plant in it. The Gunnedah Library will be holding Story Time for Preschool – Year 2 at 10.00am and for Years 3-6 at 11.30am along with a craft activity of making a bookmark. The Rural Fire Service are bringing their fire truck and Healthwise is running a colouring in competition and will be doing free health checks. Our Cash Cows P&C will be providing morning tea and we hope to have lots of fun while learning too. The teachers will be running activities such as iPad fun and dancing while Mr Ellis will be sharing some Aboriginal Education. See you on Wednesday! All Carroll PS students are asked to wear their uniform.
Carroll PS students will receive a Healthwise Colouring Competition that will be completed during lunchtime or free time. If there are any younger siblings who would like to enter – please ask us for a copy. It will need to be returned to school no later than Tuesday 20th of September (the day before Open Day).
Our gardens are starting to take shape, again, thanks to all of the Carroll PS staff, students and parents who have helped and a big thankyou to Bunnings for their support and donations.
Thank you for filling in the Positive Behaviour for Learning expectations survey. The 4 most popular expectations were: respect, learning, personal best and positivity. These expectations will drive the school-wide culture at Carroll PS: Respectful, positive learners, doing their personal best.
Mr Aaron Ellis – Aboriginal Education and Engagement Officer (Tamworth) will be spending more time at Carroll PS in the future. This is excellent news, not only for our students, but also for our teachers who are also learning from Mr Ellis about Aboriginal language and culture. Thank You Rebecca Hopkins (Relieving Principal)
