Aldridge threw 15.43m to shatter the old mark by 24cm as the up and comer continues on her path to the top of the sport.
Glen Innes High’s Nick Alley also impressed to take out the open boys pentathlon in spectacular fashion.
Alley needed to do well in the 1500m final leg to get on the podium and ran the race of his life to leave the competition behind and take the gold.
The Narrabri High 15 years relay girls won the teams sixth gold for the meet after fourth runner April Smith went from fourth to first down the home straight.
Another highlight for the North West team was Peel High’s Taylor Parker claiming silver in the Para AWD 800m race, while Guyra’s Kelsie Youman also took silver in the 16 years 800m, while Tenterfield’s Isaac Jones took bronze in the javelin.
