Directed by one of Finland’s most internationally successful string quartets, Meta4, this performance at Capitol Theatre is presented by Tamworth Regional Conservatorium of Music.
ACO Collective is the ACO’s critically renowned string ensemble which delivers the ACO’s regional touring and education programs.
In keeping with his adventurous programming, artistic director Pekka Kuusisto has invited Meta4 to lead ACO Collective on its third tour of the year. The Beethoven and Mendelssohn program features works by Webern, Jaakko Kuusisto, Mendelssohn, Sculthorpe and Beethoven’s last complete work, String Quartet in F major, Op.135. Performances may be unsuitable for children under eight years of age.
The funniest comedians from this year's Sydney Comedy Festival have hit the road bringing an all-star comedy showcase to Capitol Theatre on September 10.
An epic comedy line-up, expertly curated and lovingly presented from this year's festival, features some of the hottest acts, all live on stage for an incredible two hours of hard-hitting laughter.
An amazing line-up of comedians has been announced including: MC Tommy Dean from the USA, a TV and radio comic; headline act Steve Hughes; the genre-defying Michael Workman; Australian club and festival circuit regular Ray Badran; and the quirky Alex Wasiel.
This show is recommended for mature audiences 15 years and over and may contain coarse language and adult themes.
Last Tuesday saw Wayne Rogers, award-winning artist, take to the streets of Tamworth to chat about his up-coming show - Lashes, Legs and Lyrics.
Dressed from head to toe in all his finery, feathers and spangles, Wayne visited Peel Street businesses and was a hit with the crowds as he took time talking and posing for photos with fans.
Now living and regularly performing in Newcastle, it has been three years since Wayne has performed in his home town of Tamworth. Wayne’s new show is overflowing with showstoppers, showgirls and stunning music inspired by the lyrics and epic tunes of Shirley Bassey, Dolly Parton, Peter Allen and many more.
Tickets for Wayne’s matinee show, Lashes, Legs & Lyrics on September 11 at Capitol Theatre are still available.
