Time to list in the Tamworth festival ‘bible’

THE clock is ticking for venue operators, bands, artists, managers and event organisers to ensure their Tamworth Country Music Festival event is published in the “bible” of festival goers.

The Tamworth Country Music Festival Official Guide, arguably the biggest festival publication in the world, closes the books for free listings on November 14.

Publishers Rural Press Events’ general manager Barry Harley said the guide was the primary and complete source of information covering the annual festival and was a must-have for everyone planning on taking in some of the sights and sounds of the 10-day extravaganza.

“It includes the most comprehensive details of all the venues, concerts and artists performing over the seven-day countdown period (from January 11 to 17) and throughout the festival’s official 10-day period from January 18 to 27.

“With more than 800 individual acts performing at the 41st Tamworth Country Music Festival, artists and organisers need to make their events stand out,” Mr Harley said.

Artists also have the opportunity to be highlighted in the guide with a mini-bio and photo that tells fans who they are and lists performance dates and times in the gig listing.

The artist-by-artist listing is unique to the Official Guide.

“We have made it easy for artists and organisers to get their advertising and listings organised,” Mr Harley said.

“Simply log on to www.tamworthcountrymusic.com.au/officialguide before the November 14 deadline and we’ll publish your gig listing.”

The Official Guide will be available through pre-sale, from newsagents in and around Tamworth and selected newsagents throughout NSW and Victoria from early January.

“So don’t miss the opportunities to sell yourself and your products to the fans and industry and make 2013 your best year ever,” he said.
