RBT nabs motorists

POLICE report that four motorists were charged with drink-driving in Tamworth at the weekend.

A 33-year-old woman travelling along Bridge St had been pulled over for an RBT early Saturday morning, about 2.40am.

She returned a positive result and was taken to the Tamworth Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis.

The woman had a reading of 0.051 and was charged with driving with a low-range prescribed concentration of alcohol (PCA).

The next day, at 10.45am, a 57-year-old man was driving along Armidale Rd when he was pulled over for an RBT.

He returned a reading of 0.067 and was charged with driving with a mid-range PCA.

A 69-year-old man had also been charged, after just being involved in a car accident at Calala’s IGA car park.

He had been pulled over in his Subaru Forester about 5.20pm on Saturday.

The driver returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.108 and was charged with driving with a mid-range prescribed concentration of alcohol before his licence was suspended.

A 30-year-old Tamworth man was charged with driving with a mid-range PCA after returning a reading of 0.094 along Robert St on Sunday morning.
