A weather system is expected to produce heavy rain over most of inland districts and has the potential to cause riverine and flash flooding in Namoi and Peel river valleys from Friday onwards.

People living or working along rivers and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding develop.
