SUE Grills enjoyed a double surprise when she not only won Tuesday's $20,000 FSDP Tamworth Rush (1000m) with Polskie Princed but snared the quinella when stablemate, Hammoon Boy, finished a short head away in the feature race on a Heavy 10 track.

Specific Choice (Cody Morgan) was a half length astern of the Grills pair in a race run in 61.21secs, almost six seconds outside Maximian’s 55.41sec track record.
“It was a bit of a surprise,” Grills said of the quinella.
Polskie Prince started at $12 while Hammoon Boy was a $4 second favourite just behind unplaced Bulls ‘N’ Bears ($3.70).
“Polskie Prince had the better wet track form though,”Grills said of a gelding previously owned and trained by Joe Janiak at Coffs Harbour.
Janiak was the trainer of fairy tale horse Takeover Target and Polskie Prince sported those famous colours on Tuesday.
They might be running around again at the end of the week too.
“They are both nominated for the Moree Town Plate,” Grills said of Sunday’s $29,000 race which will support the $40,000 Moree Cup.
“I might back them both up out there.”
They were two of 16 nominations for that.
She has also nominated Couperin for Sunday’s feature which drew 32 entries.
Nominations for the eight-race TAB-covered meeting almost reached the double century mark after the Moree Race Club received 199 nominations.
The likes of Slate On Edge (Brett Thompson), Ross Stitt’s pair Shazza’s Bubbles and Single Spirit and Shane Edmonds’ Finishing card will head the Cup weights when they are issued around 4pm on Wednesday.
