Walhallow songbirds perform

We have had a very eventful week at Walhallow Public School! Our leaders Jymaya Waters and Noah Evans kicked off Week 6 with a leadership camp at Lake Keepit. They were involved in confidence building activities, learned about what it means to be a leader, and made lots of new friends from other schools. Both students enjoyed the camp and came back to school with some great stories! We also travelled to Carroll Public School last Friday to teach their students about Aboriginal culture. The Walhallow Songbirds performed some of their traditional inspired dances and taught the students from Carroll their moves. We had a great day with students learning lots and making new friends. It was also a very sad week at Walhallow Public School as we farewelled Mrs Allen, our Aboriginal Education Officer. We wish Mrs Allen all the very best in her new role and we know she will be deeply missed by all of the staff, students and community.
