The school was one of three in the region to benefit from State Government funding to install the lights on a main thoroughfare.
The lights will be installed on the 40km/h school zone sign in Kent St, where principal Jeremy Mills said people don’t appear to be slowing down.
“This is our second set of lights, the local community recommended a second set due to the busyness of Kent St,” he said.
“The flashing lights will be a visible reminder about going through a school zone but will also alleviate the tickets from the police who are doing a great job in making the school zone a safe place.”
