Documents obtained by The Sydney Morning Herald have revealed 180 schools in the state are over 100 per cent capacity including three in our area.
GS Kid Memorial School in Gunnedah is the highest of local schools with 120 per cent utilisation meaning enrollments are managed with existing permanent spaces instead of additional demountable classrooms on school sites, the report says.
Nemingha Public school was also found to be at 113 per cent utilisation, followed by Tamworth Public School at 103 per cent.
More to come.
