They set off from Tasmania and scooted into town this week as part of the 4800km trek around the country, raising the profile of the deadly disease, as well as funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia
After undergoing his own treatment of the disease, Malcolm McGinn wanted to improve the road ahead for fellow prostate cancer patients.
“I am absolutely overwhelmed with the support. Australia Post has provided the motorbikes we’ll be riding on and we’ve had donations for food and fuel as well,” Mr McGinn said.
Australian Prostate Cancer Research CEO Mark Harrison said the ride was an adventure of a life time.
“Supporters such as Malcolm and his team are vital in spreading the message about the importance of men’s health checks,” he said.
“We appreciate the hard work the team has already undergone to prepare for this extraordinary journey.”
