STATE Emergency Services crews have said two flood rescues early on Thursday morning in Tamworth were the only major call outs received as localised flooding hit the region.
Regional Controller Andrew Galvin praised the efforts of crews and emergency services workers who assisted a man out of a pantec truck which stalled in a flooded causeway just before 6am.
He issued a warning for those travelling near causeways and creeks to take caution and take note of road closure signs.
Ahead of what is predicted to be a wet start to spring, Mr Galvin said it was important community members realised it would not take much rain for a similar situation to happen again.
As of Midday, the following roads were closed:
The wet weather has resulted in the closure of a number of road across the region this morning.

- Warral Road at Timbumburi Creek.
Roads remaining closed are:

EARLIER:
POLICE and SES have rescued a man after he became trapped in rising waters on the outskirts of Tamworth.
Police said the man drove through a flooded causeway on Warral Rd about 6.30am on Thursday and got stuck.
He called triple zero and emergency services arrived shortly after.
Crews managed to rescue the man after sometime but the car was still stuck in the flooded causeway.
Police were also called to Wallamore Rd after reports of a similar incident but the driver managed to get out of the car before help arrived.
There is still a large amount of water flowing across both roads.
Tamworth Regional Council has closed both Wallamore Rd and Warral Rd with crews on scene monitoring the conditions. The roads are not expected to reopen for several hours.
Police and the SES are reminding locals not to enter flooded roads or causeways.
