Narrabri Public were the only other unbeaten side in the North West after three rounds of the State Knockout, and made the trip to Tamworth despite the wet overnight conditions.
The wet caused Tamworth Regional Council to close the softball fields, but with both sides keen to progress to the next stage Tamworth South agreed to move the game to the school grounds, and enjoy more home support.
It worked a treat, with the South hitters getting the side on the front foot early for an 11-5 win in the rain.
It is not the first time the now regional champions have recorded a big score in this campaign, after launching a huge come from behind victory to beat Tamworth Public and qualify for the final. South were down 6-nil at the end of the second dig, before coming back to 6-all before going on to win the match 14-8.
South will now go on to an inter-regional final in the next few weeks, with a win sending them to the state finals.
