Pure & Simple is the country icon’s latest album following on from Blue Smoke in 2014.
Produced and with songs written solely by Parton, highlights of the album include Pure and Simple and Head Over High Heels aswell as new recordings of Tomorrow is Forever originally recorded as a duet with Porter Wagoner in 1970 and then again with Solomon Burke in 2006,
Also included is a bonus disc with ten fan favourites and most-cherished songs from her storied career including Nine to Five and Jolene.
Parton is the most honored female country performer of all time and has received 25 RIAA certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards and had 25 songs land a Number 1 on the Billboard Country charts.
She has had 41 country albums that have reached the Top 10, a record for any artist, and 110 singles that have charted over the past 40 years.
Sales of singles, albums, hits collections, paid digital downloads and compilation usage during her Hall of Fame career have topped a staggering 100 million records worldwide.
Her career has spanned over five decades and is showing no signs of slowing down. During a chat on social media with fans Parton also unveiled plans to produce a children’s album, which is due for release in October.
