It has been an extremely busy start to the Term for staff and students. As reported in previous newsletters, our school has just undergone an external validation. The approach to school excellence involves a validation of ongoing self-assessment practices led by school leaders which inform annual reporting and school planning. Once every five years each school undergoes an external validation of the evidence of their school’s assessment of progress by an independent panel comprising of a Principal, School Leadership and a peer principal.
I wish to thank all school students, parents and community members for their understanding as this process was being undertaken. It is a huge process and we have tried to limit the impact on students whilst I have had to have time off. All feedback has been positive and I thank you for helping make our school the thriving educational place it is. We are very proud of our students and appreciate their adjustment to change when it is needed.
