Team managers from nine different stores, including one all the way from Ballina on the Far North Coast, came together to help give the centre a much-needed facelift.
The willing workers repainted several large walls in the centre, on the corner of Darling and Peel Streets.
On Thursday, the crew was also involved in revamping several garden beds, including a 50 metre side garden and fish pond, on behalf of Challenge Respite.
The service provides a home away from home for people with an intellectual or physical disability, or mental health disorder.
The workers hoped to turn the garden areas into a more welcoming space for clients to spend some time.
"We spoke to them about getting a few plants, and helping us out with a few plants," Challenge CEO Barry Murphy said.
"They're completely redoing the front and the back gardens. They did a great job and I can't speak highly enough of them," he said.
