AN ELDERLY man has escaped injury in Tamworth after his car crashed into a van on Scott Rd yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at 1pm, with emergency service workers attending to the man and helping direct busy lunchtime traffic.
An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed the man was not injured in the ordeal.
The family of four whose van was hit by the car told The Leader they had stopped to turn into Locks Ln when their vehicle was hit from behind.
They were uninjured.
