This is the first time Ashford have had a Junior Rugby League club and despite their small community, they have managed to field six out of a possible seven teams in the Group 19 JRL competition for 2016.
The newly formed club are not in a financial position that allows them to purchase all the equipment needed to run the club, as with all clubs, they rely heavily on donations, sponsorship and fund raising.
The Roosters successful AAMI Lucky Fund nomination will help the club purchase additional training and game day equipment, such as a Gazebo with sides for our Ladies League Tag sides, team water coolers, tackle bags, goal post pads and additional training balls.
The AAMI Lucky Fund is open to any club (Senior and Junior) within the CRL. At the end of each week one nomination will be selected to receive a grant of up to $1250 courtesy of AAMI.
