Baird Government sell off
One must feel a bit sorry for the Baird Government that is incapable of running Australia's Premier State without resorting to selling off essentials such as our poles and wires.
Is Mr Baird and his team really that incompetent ?
What will be next, sell the Sydney Harbour Bridge and sell the Sydney Opera House ? They would both be attractive to many foreigners quite apart from the Chinese. Potential sales could also include all the roads and rail lines, as well as the hospitals and schools.
This should generate enough money to run the State.
I reckon if Mr Baird and his team thought a bit they could discover many other public assets and essential infrastructure to sell.
Things that they don't really, really need or value anymore.
The Baird Government needs to change its toxic policy on selling off public assets especially regarding essentials such as poles and wires.
Failing this, it should resign in favour of more competent people who are in touch with community expectations.

No party politics please
Why has party politics suddenly entered Council elections? It has never been that way before. The ballot paper should be presented in the order of all candidates drawn out of the box, not split into political parties and interest groups. Councillors should be representing all of the people in the region, not their political beliefs.
Please start again. Put all the names back in the ballot box and do a redraw.

Well done boys!
To Whom it may concern: Today whilst having lunch at McDonald I notice, sitting a short distance from us, 3 young lads having lunch also. These boys would have been year 11 or 12 student of Oxley High.
I could not help notice that these lads where respectful of other dinners keeping there conversation to themselves. that is to say they were not bawdy or loud in any way.
They stood out as a they conducted themselves in a mature way.
After having their meal they totally cleaned the table and disposed of the wrappers etc (which a lot of people never do). I could not help myself passing comment to one of them while they were leaving.
I told him that I thought they were a credit to their parents and their school and how refreshing it was to see you people donig this.
I have tried to send the principal an email but could not access their email address.
All the boys were neatly dress and of fine appearance. Well done Oxley, congratulations Mums & Dads and keep up the good work boys.
I am proud of you all.
That's a big statement for a 67 year old who was brought up in a different era
We are in good hands.
