A TAMWORTH man who assaulted one person and threatened three others with a 300mm hunting knife in Kent St on Tuesday night has been arrested and charged by police.
He will appear in Tamworth Local Court on Monday.
It will be alleged the man, whose age has not been released by police, approached a group of four people on the South Tamworth street about 11pm on Tuesday before assaulting one member of the group and threatening all four with a knife.
It is understood police were called and, upon arrival, had to subdue the man with capsicum spray.
He was refused bail at an appearance in Tamworth Bail Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a woman with outstanding arrest warrants against her in Queensland was arrested by police in Tamworth on Tuesday.
It's understood the warrants related to parole offences.
The woman will face court in Sydney for an extradition hearing, which could see her sent back to Queensland in the coming days.
