LET me congratulate you on the publishing of a letter from Lyall Green in NDL on October 18.
Why not make it a weekly fixture and ask his opinions on immigration, indigenous affairs or women in the workplace. The possibilities are endless.
It serves to remind us all of the existence of bigotry, single mindedness and backward thinking within the local community. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however, I find your decision to print this particular letter morally questionable and don’t really understand what purpose it serves.
Thanks though, can’t wait to read tomorrow’s cutting-edge journalism.
I accept that you have the right to print whatever you like and if it’s topical and generates debate then all the better for it, however, I question the judgement used in this
particular case. Not the argument on whether gay marriage should be legalised, but this particular letter.
