The cafe, with local poet, Peter Langston are launching ‘Bards and Bacon’, a quarterly breakfast event at the venue featuring live poetry, music and food, giving writers a chance to test their work.
The first ‘Bards and Bacon’ session will feature 2008 ACT writers’ award winning poet Michael Thorley and local, unpublished writer Christine Watson.
Ms Watson was described as “quirky, and fascinating” by Mr Langston,
He said the morning session would be punctuated by music from local singer-songwriter Joe Dabron.
The session kicks off at 8.00am, with the cafe offering a $10 deal on bacon, eggs and coffee for the event.
