Police have charged three people following an investigation into a drug syndicate allegedly operating in Tamworth.
Detectives from Oxley Local Area Command established Strike Force Coomalie in June this year to investigate the supply of illegal drugs, including cannabis and cocaine.
Police will allege the syndicate has been involved in the supply of over 14.5kgs of cannabis worth an estimated $250,000.
This morning, detectives arrested three people after attending a home on Henry Street in Werris Creek and one on Illoura Street in Tamworth.
The two women, aged 22 and 24, and a man aged 26, were taken to Tamworth Police Station and interviewed by detectives.
Earlier this month, police allegedly seized 2.7kg of cannabis, a small quantity of steroids and $16,900 in cash after raiding the same two homes.
The older woman has been charged with supplying cannabis, supplying cocaine, supplying MDMA, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, participation in a criminal group and possession of steroids.
The younger woman was charged with supplying cannabis, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, and participation in a criminal group.
The man has been charged with supplying cannabis, supplying MDMA, knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, participate in a criminal group and breach of bail.
All three were refused bail to appear at Tamworth Local Court today.
Police believe there will be further arrests.
