The 36-hole Fourball Championship had 56 starters in wet miserable weather, but finished in balmy 20-plus degree weather last Tuesday.
"We had a beautiful day today," President Lyn Collier told The Leader last Tuesday.
"Totally different to the previous Tuesday."
Julie Nicholls and Prue Done had a beautiful day too.
They followed their first +8 with a +6 to win the Fourball Championship by five shots from Di Bramlett and club captain Jenny Taylor.
It was their eighth Fourball Championship.
They began their reign in 2007 with wins in 2008-09-10 before missing out 2011 and 2012, the latter in a playoff.
They started their run again in 2013 and followed up with wins in 2014 and 2015 before last Tuesday's success.
It was also a good day for Mary Maher.
She teamed with Chris Hughes to win the net event with +13.
