POLICE are appealing for help after $15,000 worth of copper was stolen from a Tamworth business.

Between 3pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday, offenders broke into the rear yard of a Barnes St business and a stole a large amount of cooper wire.
Police have been told the stolen wire has an estimated value of $15,000.
Investigators are appealing for anyone with information or who might have noticed suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
HIGH-RANGE PCA
A MAN will front court in August charged with drink driving in Tamworth.
About 10pm on Monday, officers stopped a car on Gunnedah Rd in Taminda for a random breath test.
The 48-year-old male returned a positive roadside test and was taken back to Tamworth Police Station where police allege he returned a blood alcohol reading of .167 – more than three times the legal limit.
He was charged with high-range PCA and had his licence suspended on the sport.
OFFENSIVE MANNER
A WOMAN has had a costly night out in Tamworth after she was fined for behaving in an offensive manner.
About 1am on Sunday, Tamworth police were patrolling Marius St when they spotted a 21-year-old woman being ejected from a licensed hotel.
The woman had been involved in an altercation inside the hotel and was removed by security staff.
Police said the woman used “distasteful” and offensive language towards officers who stopped to assist.
She was handed an infringement notice for offensive behaviour.
STOLEN CAR FOUND
A WOMAN has been charged with stealing a car after a Toyota Tarago was recovered in Coledale.
About 10.30am on Monday, police were called to a Flemming Cr home after reports the Tarago had been stolen from the location.
About 4pm the same day, the vehicle was found outside a Kenny Dr home.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested at the home and is alleged to have taken the car without permission.
She will appear in Tamworth Local Court in August.
CHARGES PENDING
A WOMAN is expected to be charged after allegedly failing to pay for prescription goods she obtained in Quirindi.
About 1pm on Monday, police allege a 31-year-old woman presented a prescription at a local pharmacy, which was dispensed.
Police allege the woman left the chemist without paying for the goods.
She was located a short time later in Lee Ave by police who expect to lay charges over the incident.
