The 34-year-old allegedly broke into a Winston Pl home on Thursday afternoon after smashing a front window with a rock.
Police said the man was injured and left a trail of blood before he allegedly stole jewellery from the house.
Police allege he then broke into a Ring St home and stole more jewellery shortly before he was arrested.
