WERRIS Creek wrecking ball Zac Darcy has been tearing opposition defences apart all season, once again popping up at the right moment to score a try in golden point last weekend as the Magpies flew to the top of the Second Division table with a win at Kootingal.

The exciting grand final replay went beyond expectations last Saturday, finishing regular time with the scores locked up and heading to golden point.
This time it was the Magpies who broke the deadlock, Darcy ducking out of dummy half to beat the defence before reaching an arm out of a tackle to find the stripe and win the match.
"I saw a big gap and just took it," Darcy said. "Then I saw the big Kooty fella with his legs open and went for the line."
For Darcy, that win over Kootingal was the most satisfying of the year, particularly after last year's final went the other way.
"It is just a really good rivalry and always a good game," Darcy said. "It was one of our better performances from everyone in the team."
That win brought them to equal first alongside Boggabri, although the Roos lead on for and against by just 12 points.
This week the Magpies have the perfect opportunity to take the upper hand and lead the competition for the first time this season, with a match at home against last-placed Bundarra, while Boggabri will bank two points from the bye but won't improve their differential.
In the other matches, Uralla will be fighting to take back the top spot they lost last week when they host Kooty, while Wee Waa head to Dungowan.
