SOME folks were spotted having a whale of a time at the University of New England (UNE) on Thursday, with some spooky specimens making tracks across campus.

UNE is the process of decking out its new natural history museum and the environmental and rural science department has been helping move in the more delicate pieces.
Students may see a few skeletons crossing the road in coming weeks as the move continues.
Ecology lecturer Dr Romina Rader posted the snap on Twitter on Thursday and there was still more specimens to moved into the new museum.
“We’ve got birds, reptiles, a leopard seal and an eagle,” Dr Rader said.
“We’re waiting for a lightning claw dinosaur skeleton, he’s a few months away.”
Dr Rader said the skeletons will be hung from the ceiling in the new museum, where they will be still used for research and tutorials and eventually open for the public.
