A MAN was refused bail in Tamworth Local Court yesterday following a police operation in Coledale.
Local officers were assisted by police from the Tactical Operations Unit in Sydney to arrest the 28-year-old man in Kenny Dr, about 9am yesterday.
While police said no force was used in the operation, they’ve confirmed a number of exhibits were seized from the home.
The man faced Tamworth Court yesterday charged with using a weapon with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intimidation, and also faced a previous charge of revocation of parole.
The matter was adjourned to October 22.
Oxley Local Area Command crime manager Inspector Phil O’Reilly said outside assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit was sought because of the high level of risk involved in the operation.
