A WEEK ago, as I watched the federal Parliament and the speakership of Peter Slipper descend into disrepute, I was reminded of what a great job Richard Torbay did as speaker of the NSW Parliament.
We need people like Richard in our federal Parliament to make sure that the institution starts functioning again and actually producing positive outcomes for New England and for the rest of the country.
