MUCH has been said and written about same-sex marriage. To me there is no such thing. My reasons:
A single male of good character and a single female of good character may decide to live together as a couple. If this couple is physically able they may try and be granted the God-blessed, medically directed ability to become parents. This parenthood is the climax of the couple’s ambition to have children which is the basis of marriage.
Likewise, any two males or any two females may decide to live together as a couple. Same-sex couples may probably seek, but being the same sex will be unable to achieve, their objective of becoming parents. They will realise that they have completely failed in their objective because they have not achieved their desire to become parents.
Thus it may be said that without the desire to become parents no same-sex couple can hope to participate in the glory of marriage.
