Australian and world champions such as Karen Murphy, Lynsey Clarke, Steve Glasson and Kelvin Kerkow were on hand to conduct the shortened version of lawn bowls – Jack Attack.
Clarke is the Australian women’s captain and Murphy Australia’s most capped player.
They took to the City rinks with Commonwealth Games gold medallist Kerkow and Australian coach Glasson to run a special day of fun on a game that is to lawn bowls what Twenty20 is to Test cricket.
“It’s the short and sharp version,” Glasson said. “For people who are time-poor.
“It can be serious or it can be social.”
