I APPRECIATED your article in The NDL (September 6) on the local TAFE students representing New England at the national World Skills in Sydney.
All are to be congratulated on their presentation and achievements.
You report that “hundreds of participants from around the country participated in the World Skills Australia competition” but failed to mention the three secondary students who also represented New England in primary industries and retail.
These students representing Armidale and Duval High schools and Moree Secondary College must also be recognised for their achievements, all the more noteworthy as they fitted this into a busy HSC schedule.
Lucinda Yeomans (Armidale High School) earned a bronze medal in primary industries.
