Werris Creek, Boggabri and Dungowan are all tied behind Uralla, although the Roos and Magpies are truly tied, unable to even be separated by for and against with both boasting differentials of 138 points.
But it is even closer than that. Both teams have scored the exact same amount of points, 266, and let the exact same amount of points in (88) after nine rounds of competition.
Uralla are clear leaders, three points ahead of the battle for second, although a match-up against Werris Creek at David Taylor Park today will either bring them back to the pack or cement their place in the finals depending on which way it goes.
Werris Creek are in good form coming off a 50-point drubbing of Dungowan last round and will be keen to get their foot in the door of a top two finish as the finals draw near.
Boggabri and Dungowan will also break the deadlock when the two clubs clash in Boggabri.
The pair have a recent history of tough and entertaining matches stemming back to the minor semi-final last year where Boggabri launched a second-half comeback to shock the Cowboys and progress through to a preliminary final loss to eventual premiers Kootingal.
The Cowboys have already got one back on them this season, a 22-12 win in round two and, with a few Cowboys starting to come back into the side and Boggabri hitting their straps, this game is too close to call.
The other match will see Kootingal try to fight their way back into finals contention with a trip to the winless Wee Waa, while Bundarra have the bye.
In the Plate, leaders Walcha will meet third-placed Quirindi while Barraba host the derby against Manilla and Bendemeer head to Bingara.
