Training Awards at Wests last night.
More than 400 people attended the event last night, where seven major category awards were presented
to the best apprentices, trainees and vocational students, who will go on to represent the region in the state awards in September.
Regional manager for Training Services NSW Greg Poetschka said the awards were very significant
for the young winners.
“The training awards are all about recognising those in our community who are looking to advance their
skills vocationally. It’s also about acknowledging the employers who support them, and all of the organisations, people and industries that use and support the vocational education and training systems in
NSW,” Mr Poetschka said.
