There was more snow in at least six different places across the north yesterday, with reports of a second day of dustings and light falls at places like Niangala, Guyra, Walcha, Black Mountain and at Mt Kaputar.

Snow and black ice closed the New England Highway between Armidale and Glen Innes for several hours before it was reopen- ed yesterday morning.
Police have warned motorists to check their routes for updated alerts about road closures.
For the children at Black Mountain Public School, yesterday was a real lesson in geography and science.
And according to principal Belinda Baker, they passed with flying honours for the snowman they created in their playground.
Elsewhere, Port Stephens Cutting reopened to traffic just before 2pm yesterday, after Tamworth Regional Council crews removed fallen trees.
A spokesman said the sunshine after a bitterly cold night had melted about 50 per cent of the snow and black ice, but the roadway remained very slippery and warning signs remained in place.
The council has warned that if there were further snow falls overnight, then conditions along that roadway could be undriveable again.
Motorists in the area needed to slow down and take extra care, a TRC spokesperson said.
A number of other roads closed because of rain over the past week were also reopened yesterday, including the Back Woolomin Rd sidetrack at Woolomin Bridge.
Roads which remain closed include Burgmanns Ln at Goonoo Goonoo Creek and Middlebrook Rd sidetrack at Garoo, near Middlebrook Creek Bridge.
The council also advised that while it wasn’t related to flooding, Danglemah Rd re-mained closed to traffic.
It has been closed since June 15, when a section of the road on a steep slope gave way close to Jamieson’s Creek.
The council has discussed a solution for the collapse with the Department of Primary Industries Fisheries division.
It has been agreed a temporary bypass will be put in place, but not until the water course is at a low flow.
A spokesman said TRC will realign the road with two new creek crossings once the creek flow is at a trickle.
And some sporting fields in Tamworth closed last week and over the weekend have now reopened, but Plain St playing fields and No.1 Oval in Kable Ave remained closed last night.
Gipps St fields are mostly open, but soccer fields 10, 19 and 20 remain closed.
Viaduct Park and the Regional Sporting Complex Athletics Field on The Ringers Road at South Tamworth are open again.
