AS POLLING day draws near, I am increasingly concerned about the risks that a Labor/Greens/independent government would present to the proposal to relocate the APVMA to Armidale.

This is, in my humble opinion, a critical, and indeed a visionary, move on the part of Barnaby Joyce.
Sadly, even this wonderful idea is not above cheap politics.
Tony Windsor’s clueless agriculture spokesman, Labor’s Joel Fitzgibbon, is against the move.
Mercurius Goldstein’s Canberra colleague, Greens candidate Patricia Cahill, is against the relocation.
And I see one of Windsor’s most vocal cheerleaders, the incompetent former public servant Paul Barratt, has come out to criticise the proposal.
Armidale can’t afford to turn down this type of investment in our region as Windsor, Labor and their Greens friends are calling for.
Moreover, our farmers will benefit from a better and more in-touch regulator – one that has been performing absolutely woefully in Canberra.
