The school's equestrian team was named the most successful school at the North West Equestrian Expo in Coonabarabran for the fourth straight year.
Thirty-two students from the secondary girls and boys competed in the five day event, with the program made to fit into four days, after a very wet start.
The expo attracted entries from across the state, with more than 70 schools competing including a number of leading private Sydney schools.
Calrossy's riders returned home with dozens of awards and ribbons, including the champion school, with the highest point score based on the total points of their top four riders.
Calrossy was also named team barrel champions.
A number of individual riders were also recognised for their skills on horseback including 13-year-old Hunter Dalzell who took out the prestigious and inaugural horsemanship award for being the most agile rider across every discipline.
Angus Capel, 15, was named the champion stock rider and brought home a new saddle for his efforts.
Year 7 student, Lara De Jong, took out the 12-years girl age champion with Sophie Maynes the 14-year-old girl champion.
The focus for the equestrian team now shifts to the Interschool's Equestrian Extravaganza at the Australian Equine and Livestock Centre in October.
Netball
Still on sport and in their first ever attempt in the Hunter Region Independent Schools Secondary Netball Gala the Calrossy Secondary Girls have brought home the trophy in the under 16's.
The Calrossy Girls entered the Newcastle-based competition taking on 14 other schools from across the region including the Central Coast, Hunter and Mid-North Coast.
After the completion of the pool rounds, Calrossy was in second place and played St Phillips Christian College from Gosford in the semi-final.
Calrossy won that game and faced Scone Grammar School in the final.
In what started as a close final, Calrossy finally emerged winners with an eight goal margin.
After many years of playing together locally, the girls were named in the HRIS Under 16 Champions for 2016.
Water Polo
It might not be the weather for it but; in the pool two Calrossy students are hitting goals in water polo.
James Newberry has been selected by Water Polo NSW in the boys under 16 Waratahs team.
He'll be competing in the Pan Pacific Youth Water Polo Festival in Auckland in July. Katie Salter has been selected to play in the same tournament, after being named in the Waratahs junior squad (combined U18 and U20) players.
From sport to the stage
Calrossy is also enjoying success at the 69th City of Tamworth Eisteddfod in the Town Hall.
Dozens of students from across Calrossy Primary, Secondary Girls and Boys have taken to the stage in the dance, speech and drama and music events.
Maddie Hoath, Year 10, took out one of the top speech and drama awards in the senior scholarship and senior speech champion.
The 15-year-old placed first in five categories including solo improvisation, Bible reading, own choice poetry and public speaking, for 15 to 20-year-olds.
The talented teenager placed and received highly commended in a number of other categories.
Among the younger competitors, Sophia Hanson, Year 5, took out the primary scholarship.
