COLD weather at the weekend did little to prevent thieves making off with televisions, jewellery and the latest in technology.

In Tamworth, several hot ticket items were stolen from a Brolga Crescent home at Oxley Vale on Saturday evening.
Offenders broke into the unit between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on Saturday, stealing a black X-Box 360 console, nine games, a Playstation4 and nine games, a laptop computer and bag, silver photography case, Sony Handycam, Apple iPad mini, Apple iPad 3, Canon digital camera, a 40cm AWA colour television, a black Guess handbag, Pandora bracelet, four gold Pandora charms, nine silver charms, a white gold nine-carat ring with a small diamond and one Snap-on toolbox and tools.
Police said the female resident returned home and noticed damage to the door and the items missing.
Thieves broke into a home on Dewhurst St, Tamworth, between 6.50pm and 8.30pm, also on Saturday, through an unlocked window and ransacked the premises.
They stole a gold solitaire ring with a small stone, one gold antique-style ring with diamond and one gold sapphire ring with diamonds surrounding it.
The offenders will be disappointed with the items they stole between 12pm on Friday, June 10 and 2pm on June 11, from a Robert St home in Tamworth. They broke in by smashing a window, taking three 32-inch flat screen Soniq brand televisions – however, none of the televisions work.
It was a happy ending for the victims of a break-and-enter in Kootingal on Saturday night.
Between midnight and 9am on Saturday, a thief or thieves, broke into a Denman Ave, Kootingal, home via an unlocked rear sliding door and stole a set of car keys to a Holden Rodeo and Holden Commodore and house keys.
The Rodeo was stolen, but recovered when the victims were driving in to Tamworth to report the matter to police. The rightful owners spotted the stolen vehicle in Nemingha, undamaged and took the car back.
In Gunnedah, it was also a busy week and weekend for thieves, with a Breen St home broken into between 8.30am-2.30pm on Thursday, June 9. The offender/s stole a television.
Thieves also stole a television and other items when they broke into a Palmer Crescent, Gunnedah, home between 8.45am and 4pm on Friday, June 10.
A white Toyota Hilux was stolen from a Beulah St, Gunnedah, home between 10pm on Saturday, June 11 and 9.20am yesterday.
Police are still making inquiries in regards to the recovery of that vehicle.
