As of yesterday morning, more than 120,000 breath tests had been conducted, with 98 drink-drivers charged across NSW.
A 62-year-old Duri woman was stopped at about 9.30pm on Friday, after many members of the public had called police to complain about her driving. Police officers stopped the woman on the Oxley Highway as she drove towards Tamworth and she was subjected to a breath test.
She returned a reading of 0.169, had her licence suspended immediately and was charged with high-range PCA. She will appear at Tamworth Local Court on July 4.
Another woman was charged with mid-range PCA at 2am yesterday. The 30-year-old woman was stopped in Brisbane St for a breath test and registered 0.086 and was charged to also appear in Tamworth Local Court on July 4.
