Shame, Tamworth Regional Council, shame – firstly for wasting water, regardless of where it’s coming from, and secondly that it’s not only starlings and mynas in those trees at night that you are blasting and making wet, cold and uncomfortable.

Whilst I couldn’t agree more that something needs to be done to rid Peel St of these birds, it’s going to be coming at a cost to all the other birds who call these trees home.
We’ve all walked down Peel St and looked up to see grass parrots, galahs, rainbow lorikeets and other birds in these trees, some even nesting there in the spring. If you keep this up, there will be nothing.
We all know that birds are a creature of habit and that it’s going to be one tough task in moving these birds on. We all should be thankful that it’s not flying foxes that are roosting in the trees at night.
There has to be other solutions for this problem. I mean what good is a falconer going to do when it’s dark? Come on, think it through.
