Sio revealed Folau has told him he's enjoying spending more time on the ball since his successful switch from fullback to outside centre for NSW Waratahs.

The Australia side to play England in a three-Test series starting on June 11 in Brisbane will be named soon, and this weekend's Super Rugby fixtures are the last chance for Kuridrani and Folau to impress Wallabies coach Michael Cheika.

Super Rugby will go on a one-month hiatus after this week for internationals, before resuming with the final three regular-season rounds.

"Cheik will choose who he wants in that [No.13] jersey, but having talked to Israel I think he's relishing being able to be around the ball a bit more," Sio said.

"For Tevita, it's another challenge for him. With Adam Ashley-Cooper having left the Waratahs, who was his main rival, Issy has refreshed that big rivalry there.

"It's only going to be great for Australian rugby. We want all our best players battling it out against each other week in, week out, and really testing each other.

"Two big [name] players like Tevita and Issy going at it, it makes us want to reach their level too."

With the Waratahs still coming to terms with life without midfield playmaker Kurtley Beale, coach Daryl Gibson toyed with the idea of moving Folau closer to the action at inside centre.

But the attacking ace is happy to stay put at outside centre after starring in the No.13 jumper in last Friday's 29-10 loss to the Crusaders.

"I've been comfortable at 13," Folau said.

"We've got a few guys in the squad that can obviously fill that 12 position and for me I'm probably just going out there to play the best I can.

"A couple of times I lined up at 12 [against the Crusaders] and shifted out late to 13 so it's just more of a deception thing at the time.

"It wasn't part of the game plan. I was trying different things throughout the game and it seemed to work at the time."

A two-times John Eales Medallist as Australia's premier player, Folau said the more insight he could garner in different positions the better.

"It's just about trying to expand my game and whether that's off set piece or multi phase, it's something that I'm looking to try to do and I've been happy with how the experiment's been going," he said.

The Brumbies return from last week's bye full of confidence after wins over the Pretoria Bulls and Melbourne Rebels.

They have a soft run home on paper, starting with a Sunwolves side with just one win, followed by Queensland (home), bottom New Zealand side Auckland Blues (away) and Western Force (home).

"Getting those two wins before the bye was good for us," Sio said.

"But as you've seen the last few weeks the Sunwolves are no easybeats, they're playing some really enterprising rugby.

"They're very fit and hard on the ball and technically sound at the set piece.

"As history shows in sport the favourites don't always win. Super Rugby's got to the stage where every game is a tough game."

Sio insists he has had no indication from Cheika as to whether he will be given the nod to play England, but says it won't be a distraction.

"No, [I haven't heard] at all, which I think is good [because] it keeps everyone motivated," he said.

"You always aspire to play for your country but I've learned over the years for that to come into fruition, I need to play my best footy for the Brumbies. I feel I've started to find my way a bit there."
