ON MAY 18, 19 people from the school choir were invited to sing the National Anthem at the Tamworth Regional Council for a citizenship ceremony.

During the ceremony 11 people pledged to become a citizen of Australia.
Bree, Tiffany, Caitlin, Alica, Josie, Elle, Zali, Teleah, Taylah, Ava, Ella.M, Poppy, Sidney, Georgia, Izzy, Bodie, Mathew, Dylan, Hayden B all represented our school with pride.
Mayor Col Murray thanked us for our performance.
Later we had recess on the council balcony.
After that we played out a council meeting.
We played the different council member's roles and had the opportunity to debate some interesting topics.
It was very informative and useful to look at the structure of our local government.
Then we went on the bus back to school by our bus driver Cathy.
It was so much fun.
