FANS of Eagles legend Glenn Frey didn’t take it easy when it came to securing tickets to his Tamworth show.
Tickets for the show, to be held at TRECC on Tuesday, March 5, went on sale at 9am on Monday.
Tamworth Regional Council entertainment venues manager Peter Ross said TRECC was in the 3000 mode for the concert and sales in the first two days had been hugely popular.
“It’s a big concert. There are still some great seats available, though, so we are encouraging people to get in quickly,” Mr Ross said.
He said having the six-time Grammy winner and founding member of legendary Californian band the Eagles’ solo show come to Tamworth was huge for the city.
“We are expecting ticket sales, if not sold out prior, will be constant for the show right up until the last minute. They’re the perfect stocking filler in the lead-up to Christmas. The fact it’s in March gives people time to plan ahead,” he said.
The Tamworth gig will be the last on Frey’s tour, which is promoting his sixth studio album, After Hours.
